I enjoy writing, but I mostly write on subjects that other people assign to me, and not things I think up myself. So here are some of the things I have been assigned to write, and I hope to add some things of my own inspiration, too.

Enjoy reading! If you have any comments or suggestions, I'd love to hear from you.

A paper written for an ethics class.

This is my very first effort at Bible translating. It is the first chapter of Jonah, translated from the Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia. I hope to complete the book someday...perhaps while I'm here in Germany?

An expedition into the etymology of the English language.

Nine sonnets which more or less comprise my world view.

The Brothers Grimm only spent about three years in Marburg, yet Marburg is very proud of that time. To discover the reason, though, you'd better know some Deutsch.

The Holy Elisabeth is a rather important figure in the history of Marburg.

Marburg was one of the first cities to strongly support the Nazis.

A summary of the workings of the German government.

Philipp, a patron of Marburg and the University.

Final paper written for my Sociology of Religion class. Discusses various definitions of religion and what it means to be "unreligious".
